YOUR PROFILE NOW HAS A CUSTOM DP THANKS TO WHATSAPP’S NEW FEATURE

Are you already exhausted from receiving too many alerts from WhatsApp at too regular of a frequency? You really shouldn’t do that since it’s not like they’re going to pause coming in any time soon. Not only does WhatsApp work towards the goal of being the most popular instant messaging program available, but the company also strives to improve the quality of service it provides to its users.

New elements that will play a role in using WhatsApp easier, more efficiently, and more secure are always being added to the app whenever it receives an upgrade. In a nutshell, the updates that WhatsApp makes are mostly designed with the end users, such as you and me, in mind.

When it comes to advantages, there will soon be an upgrade that will make things significantly less difficult. WhatsApp is making an effort to make it simpler and more expedient for its users to recognize their contacts. A new version was just issued by the corporation, and it alters group conversations so that user names appear in place of phone numbers. WhatsApp intends to improve this feature by allowing users to upload their own display pictures.

WABetainfo reports that they’re updating the messaging platform to version 2.23.6.12 right now. According to rumors, the new feature will be known as Profile Icons, and beta testers will be able to try it out in group chats as soon as it becomes available.

At the moment, this functionality is being worked on to be implemented for Android users, whereas the beta version has already been made available for iOS users.

In order for users to see this functionality in action, they will first need to open up group conversations. Because of this feature, you will become aware that users who have their profile images hidden or who do not have profile photographs will not have the ability to upload their own custom profile pictures. This will make it much simpler to identify each individual participant in a group discussion.

This capability will become highly useful in many different contexts, but one of those contexts is going to be groups where several people have identical names. Because WhatsApp is moving away from using phone numbers and towards using usernames, it is going to be more challenging to differentiate between users who have the same username. The addition of the Profile Icon function will make it much easier to locate users that fit this description.
